Congrats, you’re engaged! Welcome to the wonderful journey of wedding planning. Step 1 is to decide what time of year your big day will be. Orlando area couples, you’re in luck because Goldenbear Event Rentals did the research for you! We even created a link down below with a cheat sheet for you of weather stats so you can see the numbers yourself. We based our ranking of the best months to get married in Central Florida on weather history considering average precipitation, temperature, and humidity. First, have an idea about the time of day and setting of your wedding. Will it be an outdoor or indoor wedding? Will it take place during the day time or the evening? Wedding season in Florida typically runs from October through May considering that June through November is officially hurricane season, bringing lots of wind and rain. (Backyard weddings beware!) We think April is the best month for a wedding in Florida, especially an outdoor wedding. The humidity is lowest in Central Florida in April. The temperature in April has highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s making April a great month to have an afternoon or evening wedding in the Orlando area. November comes in as the second-best month to get married in Central Florida, however, it could be risky. Remember: though it may unlikely for a hurricane to occur, hurricane season technically doesn’t end until November 30th which also means that the humidity levels are just starting to decrease from the rainy season. This being said, on average, November does have the least rainfall out of any month raining less days than any other month! If April or November just aren’t working out for you, consider a winter wedding in February or December. Each of these months are very similar in average rainfall and average temperature. The average rainfall overall is pretty low for Florida and you can expect the temperatures in Central Florida in February and December to be highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Considering the lows for these months, we recommend that you stick to a day time wedding. March is a popular wedding month in Florida for its lower humidity and beautiful weather with temperature highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. It rains just as often as in February and December but the average monthly rainfall is about an inch more. There’s a bit of risk taking involved in saying “I do” in October because it is still hurricane season in Central Florida, however, the temperatures are really great and the rainfall is actually lower than March. Humidity starts to decrease from the rainy season in October and you’ll enjoy highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. We say no matter what time of year, if you are planning an outdoor or backyard wedding in Florida, you won’t need to worry if there’s a little wind or brief rain shower as long as you choose the most practical rental furniture and décor. For peace of mind, we recommend renting our wood farm tables as guest tables and our live wood benches for ceremony seating. These elegant wedding rental pieces are weatherproof and their beautiful wood finish makes decorating less expensive overall as they are truly picturesque on their own!
