Planning a wedding or event in Central Florida, the greater Orlando area, Volusia County, or even New Smyrna Beach? If your celebration is outdoors on grass or sand, or if your venue doesn’t already have a dance floor, renting one is essential. Uneven surfaces like grass, dirt, decks, or outdoor patios can be tricky for guests, especially those in heels or barefoot. Choosing the proper size dance floor is just as important, too small and guests feel crowded, too large and the space can feel empty or awkward. A properly sized and installed dance floor keeps everyone safe, comfortable, and ready to hit the floor without worry! At Goldenbear Event Rentals, our dance floor features a rich, dark wood finish that pairs beautifully with our full collection of polished wood rental pieces. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, it is 100% water-resistant and built to handle a variety of surfaces. Its neutral, elegant look complements any event style, while the smooth, forgiving surface makes dancing fun and comfortable for guests of all ages. From backyard weddings to large venue receptions, our dance floor provides a reliable, stylish foundation and the perfect amount of space for unforgettable celebrations. How big of a dance floor do you really need? Most wedding and event experts will tell you that really only 50% of your guests will be dancing at any given time during your event. We personally think that it should be every event planner’s mission to make sure that each and every guest is having such a great time that they all get up and dance the night away! That being said, we’ve outlined our dance floor size recommendations based on number of dancers below for you:
These dimensions are our basic recommendations, however, being made of 3’ x 3’ panels means that our dance floor can be made into virtually any shape needed! Have a tree in the middle of your dancing area? No problem, we will just keep a section open around the base of the trunk. Worried about your grassy or sandy ceremony aisle catching on your gorgeous dress? We can configure our dance floor into an aisle for you and even a platform for the bridal party and you up at the altar. Indoor vs Outdoor Dancefloor Considerations...Our dance floor at Goldenbear Event Rentals is designed for both indoor and outdoor events. When used outdoors, a proper subfloor is required to create a level and secure surface over grass, sand, or other uneven terrain. This subfloor ensures safety, stability, and comfort for guests while protecting the integrity of the dance floor throughout the event. As a trusted provider of dance floor rentals in Orlando, our customers rely on us to handle the delivery, setup, and breakdown for indoor and outdoor installations. Whether your reception is inside a venue, under a tent, or in your backyard lawn, our team will ensure your dance floor is properly installed exactly how and where you like it so it performs beautifully from the first dance to the final song! Wedding Dance Floor Rental Made EasyBy following these recommended sizes, you’ll ensure that everyone who wants to hit the dance floor has plenty of space to show off their moves. With these tips and our flexible customization options, you can plan the perfect dance floor for your special day. Then all that’s left to do is relax, soak in the moment, and watch your friends and family celebrate with you!

Congrats, you’re engaged! Welcome to the wonderful journey of wedding planning. Step 1 is to decide what time of year your big day will be. Orlando area couples, you’re in luck because Goldenbear Event Rentals did the research for you! We even created a link down below with a cheat sheet for you of weather stats so you can see the numbers yourself. We based our ranking of the best months to get married in Central Florida on weather history considering average precipitation, temperature, and humidity. First, have an idea about the time of day and setting of your wedding. Will it be an outdoor or indoor wedding? Will it take place during the day time or the evening? Wedding season in Florida typically runs from October through May considering that June through November is officially hurricane season, bringing lots of wind and rain. (Backyard weddings beware!) We think April is the best month for a wedding in Florida, especially an outdoor wedding. The humidity is lowest in Central Florida in April. The temperature in April has highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s making April a great month to have an afternoon or evening wedding in the Orlando area. November comes in as the second-best month to get married in Central Florida, however, it could be risky. Remember: though it may unlikely for a hurricane to occur, hurricane season technically doesn’t end until November 30th which also means that the humidity levels are just starting to decrease from the rainy season. This being said, on average, November does have the least rainfall out of any month raining less days than any other month! If April or November just aren’t working out for you, consider a winter wedding in February or December. Each of these months are very similar in average rainfall and average temperature. The average rainfall overall is pretty low for Florida and you can expect the temperatures in Central Florida in February and December to be highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Considering the lows for these months, we recommend that you stick to a day time wedding. March is a popular wedding month in Florida for its lower humidity and beautiful weather with temperature highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. It rains just as often as in February and December but the average monthly rainfall is about an inch more. There’s a bit of risk taking involved in saying “I do” in October because it is still hurricane season in Central Florida, however, the temperatures are really great and the rainfall is actually lower than March. Humidity starts to decrease from the rainy season in October and you’ll enjoy highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. We say no matter what time of year, if you are planning an outdoor or backyard wedding in Florida, you won’t need to worry if there’s a little wind or brief rain shower as long as you choose the most practical rental furniture and décor. For peace of mind, we recommend renting our wood farm tables as guest tables and our live wood benches for ceremony seating. These elegant wedding rental pieces are weatherproof and their beautiful wood finish makes decorating less expensive overall as they are truly picturesque on their own!
